Help make hay at Crystal Peaks Meadows and at the same time conserve the wildflowers and wildlife.
Meet at Crystal Peaks Meadows (which can be found opposite Drakehouse Lane Supertram stop).

Post and wire fencing at Heathlands Park to create the outer boundaries of the new Park, and also define the area for the Community Orchard.

Himalayan Balsam bashing to conserve wildflowers in the Moss Valley. (It is advisable to wear long trousers and long sleeved top.)

Introduction to Bats and Moths at Owlthorpe
Did you know the tiny Pipistrelle bat can eat around 3,000 midges in a single night. Find out more fascinating facts about bats and learn how you can identify different bat species using a bat detector.
Also at this event we will be carrying out a moth watch, looking at the wonderful diversity of moths that can be found in Owlthorpe.

Find out what is happening in South-East Sheffield through the combined activities of local schools, communities and businesses. Discover how you can get involved and how we can all promote eco-friendly living.

A survey to try and determine if there are bats living in the local area – and an opportunity to find out how to use a bat detector to identify different bat species.
