We have been saying our farewells to Staff, Children and Families who are moving on into new Schools and homes and we wish to thank all these people for their individual contribution to making the School such a special place to be.

Mrs Watson is leaving her 1 day a week job, after working at Reignhead for a total of 10 years full-time and 1 year part-time.  We wish her lots of luck and best wishes for the future and thank her for all the special contributions she has made to the School in the past.

School half term 5 saw great effort and lots of hard work from all our children and staff as our Y2-Y6 children all sat the end of school year SATs. These end of year tests provide us with a National comparison of your childs individual attainment in Writing, Reading and Maths.  At Reignhead the Staff track children's individual progress in learning throughout every half term of the school year.  The SATs results provide additional information on how your achieves in a formal test situation.  These results are combined with our ongoing teacher assessments to give an overall assessment of your childs ability in these subject areas.  The teachers are currently completing your childs annual report and you will be receiving this on Thursday 29th June.

Parents open evening -Wednesday 5th July - 3:30-6:00pm

I strongly encourage all parents/carers to attend our final Open Evening of this academic year.  This is an opportunity to celebrate your childs hard work and progress through the year and look towards how you can help your child in the next academic year.

Class groups and teachers will be displayed in all Bases on Parents Open Evening.

Please take the opportunity to look at the Base your child will be learning in next year and to meet their new teachers and support staff.

Thank You for your help with Homework

A big thankyou to parent/carers who have regularly supported their children with homework throughout the year.  It makes a tremendous difference to childrens progress, especially in reading.

Our School is Praised and Admired by many visitors

During the past half term we have had many visitors to Reignhead, looking at how we work and how the School environment supports learning.  All our visitors have been very impressed by the quality of provision and the learning environment in the school.  The visitors have included Sheffield Headteachers, Teachers, an Education Consultancy Company using our school to produce DVD's to help schools evaluate their practice, BBC staff filming our Computer Club and new parents bringing their children to our school. We all feel very proud of these external confirmations of our hard work.

Visit our amazing Arts Event Exhibition

Once again the Staff have put in tremendous efforts to plan a fortnight of creativity that would enable the creative talents of our children to be maximised.  The results can be seen in the Whole School Exhibition in the school hall.  Please take the time to look at the high quality work that was produced by all the children and displayed so professionally by the staff.

VISIT THE EXHIBITION:

EVERY MORNING-  8.15 - 8.50am AND EVERY EVENING- 3.00 - 3.30pm.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME
