 Beighton Welfare Recreation Ground Minimize

The BWRG project aims to assist the existing Beighton Miners Welfare & grounds to modernise itself into a ‘One Stop Shop’ community centre providing a focal point of the community for all local community, leisure, social & sports activities, including managed/serviced office space for local start-up businesses.
Beighton Villages Development Trust is working in partnership with BWRG and Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation (CISWO) in developing the 4.3 hectare site in the heart of the village. Phase 1 of the project concentrates on the development and extension of the existing Club building and car park in order to deliver small business office accommodation and development of group  meeting facilities and activity space.

Additional provision within the refurbished centre will include:
  • Conference facilities
  • Administration, financial and business services
  • Information exchange and display space
  • Training and skill development
  • Crèche Facility
  • Support and facilities for young people
  • General hire for community/event activities
