The project aims to develop a community wide Web Portal that will allow local people, community groups, business and services to share information and maximise IT potential for personla, economic and social purposes.

The project - a partnership between Beighton Villages Development Trust and Vantage Technologies will encompass:

• Community based IT training;
• Business advice and IT support;
• Support for other South Yorkshire IDP projects.

The technical group overseeing the revamped Beighton 4 Life website have approved the new look and feel. The following actions are to take place during June and July:

• Additional training to community groups and businesses;
• Site content of each group and business to be installed;
• Additional recruitment of groups and businesses;
• Community trainers to be initiated.
