Access to and use of www.beighton4life (“The Website”) is provided by the Beighton Villages Development Trust (“BVDT”) and Vantage Technologies Limited (“Vantage”) subject to the following Terms:-

You may not make use of The Website, copy, reproduce, republish, download, upload, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use content of The Website in any way except for your own personal use. Areas of The Website provided for use by a local business may only be used for promotional or advertising purposes and may not be used or altered for transactional activities. For the avoidance of doubt, such prohibited behaviour includes but is not restricted to:- harassment; causing distress to or inconveniencing any person or group of people; transmitting illegal, obscene, pejorative or offensive content; disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within The Website or damaging the website itself.

BVDT and/or Vantage make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on The Website is accurate, checked and maintained on a regular basis. However, they cannot accept any liability for the accuracy or content of The Website or for any expenses incurred as a result of responding to an advertisement. Any persons who rely on this information do so at their own risk.
The Website content, including information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to BVDT and/or Vantage, or their products and services, or Third Party products and services is provided "AS SEEN" and on an "AS AVAILABLE" basis. BVDT and/or Vantage do not guarantee or warrant that the functions or material contained in The Website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected or that The Website or the infrastructure that makes it available are free of software errors (bugs) or viruses (including all forms of malicious software) or represent the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials therein.
Under no circumstances will BVDT and/or Vantage be liable for any losses or damage arising or allegedly arising from the use of The Website, whether such losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise, including but not limited to:- loss of data; loss of revenue or anticipated profits; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; losses suffered by Third Parties; or any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages regardless of the form of action.
Intellectual Property
All names, images, logos or similar material identifying BVDT, Vantage or Third Parties and their products and services are subject to the copyright, design rights and trade marks of their beneficial owners. Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed as conferring by implication or otherwise any licence or right to use any trademark, patent, design right, logo or copyright of BVDT and/or Vantage or any other Third Party.
Contributions to The Website
If you are invited to submit any contribution to The Website (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant BVDT and/or Vantage a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution. Such licence includes the right to incorporate your contribution in other works or media now known or later developed, for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. If you do not wish to grant to BVDT and/or Vantage the rights set out herein, please do not submit your contribution to The Website.
Further to the above, by submitting your contribution to The Website, you warrant that:-
- Your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to BVDT and/or Vantage for all the purposes specified above.
- Your contribution is not illegal, defamatory and does not infringe any law, including third party copyright.
- You waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on The Website and the purposes specified above.
- You will indemnify BVDT and/or Vantage against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by BVDT and/or Vantage as a result of your breach of the above warranty.
The Website Forum/Community Rules
You agree to use The Website in accordance with the following Community Rules (‘The Rules’). The Rules apply across The Website and all included, associated or subsidiary Community sites and services, including Message Boards and other communication channels. You should, however, read the local house rules of the particular site or service you’re using, as there may be local variations to The Rules.
About Information you post or submit:-
Contributions must be civil, tasteful, constructive and polite; they must not be disruptive, offensive, abusive, mean-spirited or with the intention of causing trouble.
- Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
- Using multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users will result in action being taken against your accounts.
- Users of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the The Website Community, so patience and tolerance is required at all times.
- Spamming or off-topic material is not permitted, so don’t make submission of the same or similar contributions many times, don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
- No advertising is allowed within the Community
- Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed unless relevant to specific ethnic or special interest groups.
- You must not impersonate or attempt to impersonate any other person.
- No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names will be registered.
- Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this action may be taken against your account.

- This action may include your account or accounts being placed into pre-moderation or the suspension (temporarily or permanently) of your ability to participate in any or all of The Website Community areas.
- If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content to The Website Community or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on The Website and BVDT and/or Vantage considers such behaviour to be illegal, serious or consistent, BVDT and/or Vantage may use whatever means are available to stop any further infringements.

- BVDT and/or Vantage reserve the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
General
- If there is any conflict between these Terms of Use (‘Terms’) and any specific terms or rules appearing elsewhere on The Website, then the latter shall prevail.
- If any of these Terms is determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then (to the extent that the Term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable) it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and the remaining Terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

Virus protection:-
- We make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. However, it is the responsibility of the individual user to protect his or her computer and equipment by appropriate security measures.
- BVDT and Vantage recommend that users run an up-to-date, anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the Internet.
- We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material on The Website or downloaded from it.
Child/Vulnerable Person Protection:-
- In the interests of child/vulnerable person1 protection, NO images submitted to The Website may identify any person under the age of 16 or a vulnerable person (by whole or part of their name) without the prior, written approval of their parent/guardian being submitted to BVDT and/or Vantage.
- All images of persons under the age of 16/ vulnerable persons require the consent of their parent/guardians to be displayed on the site. Content editors must be able to provide evidence in writing within 24 working hours of a formal request by BVDT and/or Vantage.
- There are NO exceptions to this sub-set of the Terms.
Linking to or from The Website:-
- BVDT and/or Vantage encourage hypertext links to our sites. You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on our sites and we do not object to you linking directly to our information.
- However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site, or our logos to be used as promotional or hypertext objects.
- We are not responsible for the contents or reliability of any linked web sites and do not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them.
